Copying disks

The Volumes page is mainly for copying data between disks in actual magazines and virtual magazines. It is also possible to copy physical disks, even multiple smaller disks to one larger disk (typically CDs to DVDs). For this reason, the more general term “Volume” has been picked to name this page, not the specific term “Disk”. Remember the difference between a volume and a medium: A volume always refers to a single entity or a single ISO image, no matter if it is a CD, a DVD or a disk image of a CD or DVD. The Resource Manager cannot divide a disk into smaller parts. The CD might contain thousands of files, but the Resource Manager does not care about them. The volume is all it knows about. This is not necessarily true of Media, since a medium might contain multiple volumes (ISO images), just like a virtual magazine. A medium however, resides on a physical disk, not a harddrive.
