- For specifying the desired volumes, you have several options:
- Pick volumes manually from the catalogue in the right pane:

- Apply a previously specified filter (see the section on Filters how to do this)
- Pick all volumes listed in the catalogue in the right pane
- The selected volumes will be copied to the specified virtual directory as soon as you click “OK”:
- You can abort the operation at any time by clicking “close”.
- Pick volumes manually from the catalogue in the right pane:
Important note: It is possible, although usually not practical to specify more than one virtual magazine as target for copying. If you do this, the Resource Manager will copy volumes to the first selected virtual magazine until this virtual magazine is full, i.e. its disk capacity is exhausted. If not all volumes fit into the first magazine, the remaining volumes will be copied to the next virtual magazine, until it is exhausted as well. In other words, the Resource Manager distributes volumes to virtual magazines in such a fashion that virtual magazines will be filled consecutively. This behaviour is exactly like that shown when copying volumes to media (see next section), but it is not as practical for virtual magazines as for media.
